Cologne, Germany – Secure, robust, and certified. Cybersecurity leader infodas GmbH has received the prestigious BSI (Federal Office for Information Security) certification for its SDoT Software Data Diode, marking a major milestone in trusted IT protection. Certified at Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 5+ (EAL5+), the product meets one of the highest international security standards in the world.
The SDoT Software Data Diode is designed to safeguard sensitive communication between networks with differing security classifications — making it a trusted solution across defense, intelligence, public sector, and critical infrastructure applications.
Pioneering Security-by-Design Innovation
“With this high-level certification for our SDoT Software Data Diode, we are confirming our chosen path,” said Carsten Schulz, Managing Director at infodas GmbH. “This certificate validates our process-oriented, security-by-design approach and underscores the uncompromising standards our cybersecurity software achieves. We also thank the BSI for their collaboration and support throughout this certification journey.”
The certification was presented by Sandro Amendola, Head of Department S “Standardization, Certification and Testing” at BSI, and Carsten Schulz, Managing Director of infodas, during a formal recognition ceremony.
The Only Software-Based Data Diode with High-Level Approvals
The SDoT Software Data Diode enables secure, high-performance unidirectional data transfer through multiple protocols between networks with varying levels of classification. It is currently the only software-based data diode to receive such high-level approvals and certifications.
The solution is approved for:
-
DEU SECRET
-
EU SECRET
-
NATO SECRET
It also carries the Bureau Veritas seal for maritime applications under IACS UR E26 and UR E27 guidelines, making it suitable for both land and sea-based secure communication networks.
“Achieving Common Criteria EAL5+ certification places SDoT among the most rigorously evaluated cybersecurity products in Europe,” said Hanns Benigno Groeschke, Lead Product Certification at infodas. “This recognition reflects the dedication and teamwork that went into ensuring our solution meets the strictest security standards for today’s mission-critical environments.”
